Christmas To-Do List

I officially have 7 more days of school until my month long winter break. Unfortunately, I don't think a month is enough time to put a dent on my massive crafting to-do list:
  1. Triangle quilt
  2. Crochet Star Wars characters (still have R2D2, Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Princess Leia left to go)
  3. Knit sheep
  4. Knit stocking
  5. Seasons mini quilt
  6. Mend/Refashion about half of my closet
  7. Advent calendar (x2)
  8. Wine charms
  9. Knit Megaman Sackboy
  10. Tree skirt
I'm asking for a paraffin bath for Christmas. I think I'm doomed for some early-onset arthritis if I don't start treating my hands more kindly :(

Crochet Baby Blanket

I recently bought some super adorable crochet patterns (more on that later) to make a Christmas present for my husband. They don't seem too complicated, but given I've never crocheted before, I figured I should do a fairly quick and simple project to get my feet wet. Although I have no pending baby showers (... or babies), I decided on this baby blanket. Here are some pictures of it all finished. My favorite part is the X's connecting the circles. It reminds me of an argyle print.

You'll notice that the second I started taking pictures Crimson decided it was time for a photo shoot. Any guesses as to which is my favorite?

Owl Sweater

This sweater is one of my all time favorite knitting projects. Fortunately, I snagged the pattern while it was still free!

I actually made it in gray first, but the yarn was terribly scratchy. I thought it was too cute to not have one, so I made another using a beige bamboo blend and it is much more wearable.

The owl cable is a really easy pattern so if you're new to knitting cables (or just don't want to take the time to make a sweater) a hat is a pretty quick project.
